Happy Thoughts for Thursday: One more week!
That's right, as of right now, I have 2 days left of classes, and then finals! I'll be glad for the break from the school work, but I'll miss a few of the classes. The globalization class that I'm in is intellectually stimulating, and a lot of people in the class are really awesome. Also, I'm going to miss my friends! Speaking of..
Friends. I am truly lucky in my friends. All of my friends from school are great people; my roommate is fantastic and brings me chocolate, and all the people that we live with are also great; my sisters are wonderful and fun; the trombonies are always entertaining. My friends from home are also great, even though I'm terrible at keeping in touch. There are some interesting summer plans brewing! And, to continue, I have some pretty cool internet friends too! You all are just great!
Cheesy plant pictures. See above. And the camera education continues!
Music. Sometimes I forget that music is great. Then I remember again and my life is awesome. I've been listening to some good music, and with finals week coming, I'm looking forward to having time to actually practice making music! There's nothing more relaxing than playing.
Literary discussion. I'm still working on House of Leaves. As I read, I'm discussing my progress with the friend who lent me the book, and it is so nice to talk about books! Sometimes I really miss high school english classes, where we had to analyse every little thing.
Chocolate in coffee.
Exciting news!! I can't believe I almost forgot this one. I got an internship for this summer! This particular organization has been under political fire lately, and I fully support their mission. I applied as a volunteer, and got a phone call saying that I should seriously consider applying for an internship, because I would be perfect for the position. And I got it! I'm so excited for this summer! I think this will be a great opportunity to learn a lot while doing something good!
Waking up with the window open, a nice breeze coming in, and birds singing.
